Tagged

My friend Robin "tagged" me last week and I do have to say it is a bit of a relief to have a subject for writing this blog. Now I just have to fill in all of the details. Hope you enjoy finding out more than you wanted to know about me.

1. What did I do 10 years ago?

I had just finished my sophomore year at BYU--and still no major. I spent the first month of the summer in Portland, OR, taking care of Ethan, my 3-month-old nephew, so Matt and Meisha could finish their master's degrees. I spent the rest of the summer in Colorado fixing sprinklers, hanging out, and trying to pick a major. The highlight of the summer was in August when my brother Tom came home from his two year mission to Switzerland. Was that really 10 years ago?

2. Five items on my list today?

-Take care of three boys (my full-time job and top of my list all day, every day).
-Make cookies for a potluck at church.
-Call my parents.
-Update blog.
-Practice the piano (I am still really bad).

3. Snacks I enjoy.

Cereal, apples, whoppers, cinnamon bears (which you cannot buy outside of the mountain west), nuts, Craisins, dried fruit.

4. What would I do if I were a billionaire?

-Money to schools: I would buy books and books and books and give them to kids who do not have access to great literature. I would buy chalk, and much more, for schools in China and around the world who have to ration their supplies. I would pay people in DC to do what they needed to do to expel No Child Left Behind forever.

-Money to the USO: What a wonderful organization to help military members and their families--while serving their country, traveling through airports, etc. The only stipulation would be that none of my money could be spent on sending cheerleaders to "entertain the troops" during the months that my husband is deployed.

-Buy Adam an airplane: Fly us where we want to go so I don't have to subject my family to stupid people on airplanes and stupid airlines charging me money to take more than one change of clothes for my messy boys. Plus, then Adam, and the rest of us, can make it back to Provo for all of the home games--go cougs.

-Buy a Nintendo DS: For me--and probably I would share it with my boys.

-So much more I will spare you the details.

5. Places I would live.

Pretty much where ever Uncle Sam sends me/us for the next 16 years. There are a lot of places I would live for a few years, but when we retire and settle down, it will be in the Rocky Mountains somewhere--Colorado, Utah, Idaho.

How fun! I'll do my tag soon. I like to read them and hadn't been tagged yet. Hope to see you at the reunion in a few weeks.
