Come on everybody, wish for world peace again...

Happy New Years Everybody!

We have been mad crazy wacky busy over the holidays and it won't stop for a few more days.

First Aunt KK came then Uncle Paul. We played and worked and some times did both at the same time. He did some amazing things with the electrical system in this house and it is so much nicer. I never knew how much of a difference that lighting can make to the feel of a room. Very nice.

KK built Brig his first Rad Racer Box car. It lasted all of two minutes before a head-on collision which threw Brig through the imaginary front windshield and totaled the car, but not the imagination. I'm sure there will be many more built and tested in the next 10 years.

We had a wonderful time and are very grateful that they made the effort to come down. If you ever want to see the world a little differently than you have before take a first look at your pregnant sister. I guess it shouldn't have been such a shock but it was a pleasant one. Congratulations and thank heavens for epidurals, cause that kids gonna be a big one.

Grandma Susie came down and had a wonderful time with her Texas grandbaby. She even sat for us so we could all go on a double date to a zombie movie. For the record, KK and chelle picked the movie, Paul and I just rapidly accepted before they could take it back. We played Mexican Train and Settlers of Catan until our fingers bled and Susan began swearing. I can't imagine a better time. By the way all is well in the world again, no worries.

Yesterday I got back from camping with the boy scouts. What a trip. Three days down in the Texas Hill country with nothing but my tent, a camp stove, a sleeping bag, a heater, air mattress, Christmas stocking full of candy, three hunting rifles, an unlimited tag on wild hogs, 8 boxes of pancake mix, climbing equipment and 34 teenage boys. Couldn't think of much better.

Just a note on Brig, because we all know well that he is why you're reading this anyway. He is doing quite to quite quite well. The little man has learned to stand and has taken more than his first few steps. He is still a bit tentative about walking without something to hang on to, but the couch can get him across the room and the crawl position can get him the rest of the way.

When you begin singing "Old McDonald had a farm" he continues it with "Eee-Aye, Eee-Aye."

He sleeps in a position that we affectionately call "the Stink-Bug". It consists of grubbing your favorite blanket, the yellow one Grandma Ruth made for his Dad 30 years ago, underneath you. And while laying face down on the bed he tucks his knees up as far as they can go and sleeps in a terribly awkward and unstable position with his tootsie about as high in the air as he can get it. It looks strangely familiar to the position his mother unintentionally slumbers into when she begins her prayers too late at night. Very cute.

Our baby baby, whom we have thus far left nameless for the fear that calling her 'Leonard' or him 'Crystal Gayle' would scar the child for life, as we have decided to not find out if our baby will be a boy or a girl until his or her birthday, a gender specific name is a bit unwarranted. And after vicious junior high locker room experiences I vowed to never call any child of mine Pat, even in jest. It's a confusing time.

In fact, we have ultra sound pictures and as soon as I can get my scanner to work you'll see them.

We love you all and thank you for checking on our little family. Happy Christmas and Merry New Year. May all of your wildest dreams come true.

Os Brageeboories.
