Happy Holidays 2007

Adam, Michelle and Brigham—2007

The plan is to keep this short and sweet because we know that you are all keeping up to date with us by reading our blog on a regular, if not quite frequent basis, right? (www.babyboybradbury.blogspot.com)

Adam and Michelle have had a great time getting used to being parents. What a ride. Brigham Golden was just 9-days-old when we rang in the new year in Little Rock, Arkansas. We spent 4 more months in the shadows of the double-wide that is the Clinton Presidential Library and enjoying our share of pulled pork and cole slaw, hold the slaw. In April, Adam finished his C-130 training and became an official United States Air Force pilot. We packed up in two days, pointed our cars southwest, and headed back to Texas. (Willie Nelson was waiting at the border with open arms, which made the move totally worth it.)

Flat and far-distant Abilene will be our home for the next few years—yeah to finally settling down and growing roots. Upon arrival, Adam and Michelle decided it was finally time to grow up a little and enter the wonderful world of home ownership. We bought a “fixer upper” and have been slaves to paint, carpet, popcorn ceilings, primer, Harbor Freight and shop vacs ever since. That being said, we have about half of the house “fixed” and it is a beautiful and comfortable home for our little family.

Lt. Adam spent most of the months of August, September and October in Al Udeid, Qatar. He flew everywhere and did some crazy and amazing things. This was just the first of many times far away from family, but we are proud of the good things he was able to do while serving our country.

Brigham is the coolest, smartest, cutest, funniest, craziest kid in our family so far, which will last until April when another rug rat joins the Bradbury bunch. In the last year, Adam and Michelle have learned so much about routines and diapers and weaning and crying it out—Brig is training us so well—that we are looking forward to having our next genius baby in April. He/she is moving and growing and Brig is pretty much ignorant to what is in store for him. But in the meantime, Brigham is crawling and standing and getting into everything. We love his infectious excitement for life, usually pleasant nature and killer four-toothed smile.

Like we said, short and sweet.

We love you all and wish you a wonderful holiday season.
