6 Random Things:

1.  Deanna recently moved and said she was almost finished unpacking all of her boxes.  Wow, so not me this time.  Maybe because I know I am going to be in this house for a long time--meaning 4 years--but I still have about 1/3 of my boxes stacked in either the garage or the yet to be remodeled master bedroom.  Work in progress, what can I say.

2.  As the result of an accident a few years back, I have hyper reflexes on my right side--and I am right handed.  If and when I am really concentrating on doing a task involving my right hand (writing, typing, drawing, playing the piano, doing my makeup, etc.) and I hear a loud and unexpected noise, the nerves in my right arm will involuntarily jolt and my hand will make a sudden reflexive movement.  Most of the time I play it off, but sometimes people comment about being easily startled.  And if you know Adam, don't think for a second that he takes advantage of this, just for his own amusement.

3.  I ran 5 1/2 miles the other day.  That is the farthest I have run since the St George Marathon in 2003.  This span of almost 5 years includes, getting married, breaking my neck, recovering, and having two little boys.  It felt good to run that far again.

4.  My favorite part about being a teacher was story time, sitting with 20 kids around my feet and reading a book.  Interestingly enough, that is one of my favorite times of day with my boys as well.

5.  I love to dance, even still.  We hold family dances at our house almost daily and I have to say that Brigham has got some serious moves--must be genetic from his uncle Tom.

6.  Saturday, our little family went to the birthday party of a little friend and I reconnected with one of my all time favorite activities.  I don't even think Adam knew this about me until the party, but I love to roller skate.  I am talking two wheels in the front, two in the back, disco balls and lights all over the ceiling, carpet all over the walls and a ton of crazy mobile kids.
