Music Fills David's heart

The boys have been learning how to play piano lately.  Not of their own volition but we try to help them expand in ways that don't involve a Nintendo Switch on occasion.

Today I was playing the super Simplified Hymn book song "Testimony" p.XXX while the kids were down stairs.  David came up in the middle of the song to use the bathroom and kind of stopped.  When I was done, he came around the corner and said, "Dad, I just wanted you to know that when you were playing that song I felt the spirit really strong and my heart was burning.  Thank you for playing it."

He curled up in my lap and we talked for a minute or two about recognizing the spirit in our everyday lives.  I told him about the D&C scripture describing how a song can be the same as a prayer and he thought that was pretty cool.

David's a great kid and we sure love him a ton; he really is a unique and special human being.  I'm sure Heaven Father misses him tremendously but I want to be a bit selfish and hold him on my lap for a while longer myself.
