Ava-mommabelle

Last night I brought a bouquet of pink roses home to give to my pretty wife. I walked into the dining room where everyone was sitting around eating and hanging out. I handed the flowers to Calvin who was proud as punch to be able to be the one to give them to his mother.

Then Brig ran over and promptly removed them from her arms. He said, and I quote:

"Mommy, these flowers are for Ava-mommabelle. I am going to give them to her when I marry her." It was about as sweet as intentions get.

Later he said our family prayer and very much opposed to his standard prayer which lasts 6.3 seconds and includes three and only three parts - "Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for this beautiful day. In the name of Jesus Christ amen. " He talked to Heavenly Father for several minutes including a less than veiled threat against Jesus if he didn't stop doing whatever it was that Brig didn't want him to do.

It was a great teaching moment in which Michelle and I learned a lot. I have the wonderful family of forever.

Adam, you are quite the romantic role model for your little boys, who watch every move you make.

Brig is too funny.
