Angry Elves

Today I took Brig to the Garden Center and while wandering around he found the wall of seed packets and was enamored with the idea of growing a plant himself. 'That's a great idea' I thought-even though it is kind of late in the season. So we picked out radishes and peas.

We got home and before I could take either kids name in vain they had dumped both packets into the grass, not to be found again.

My favorite way to call Mackay is to say, "CalvinMackayTackyRasmussenRansomBradbury you getchur butt over here right now." He smiles so big.

Never do lawnmower maintenance around blonde boys. They are as bad as angry elves who steal tools, bolts and shrouds from your work surface when you do so much as turn you head. If any one has a plastic cover for the automatic drive belt assembly on a Troy built lawn mower I'd sure appreciate it. Because mine is no where to be found. Oh I take that back I found it on the internet, look here.

Major kudos to Josh Baum, Katherine Hale, and Ivan "the Great" Murillo as they all graduated from Wylie High School today. Michelle and I made a date of it tonight going to the ceremony. My good friend Drew Webb volunteered to babysit for us for the evening. Afterward we went to Cypress Street Cafe for dinner and creme broule. I suppose that since I'll be gone during our actual anniversary next month that this was our anniversary date. If that was our anniversary date I guess that means we should probably be fooling around now that we're home.

... were it not for Facebook and blogs ...
