Back to Texas

We made it.  After months of being on the road and living out of suitcases and sleeping in the same room, we have come back to Texas.  We have been home for about a week and I have to say that even a home in a permanent state of reconstruction is a grand and wonderful place.  The boys were asleep when we pulled in the driveway at midnight last Friday.  The increase in chatter and cessation of movement woke them from their travel slumbers.  I was not sure how either boy would react, if at all, to being home again.  Brigham was a little hesitant until we walked into the living room and he saw his toys.  He ran right over and I could not even blink before he had built a train track.  Calvin was hot on his heels, and at 12:00 am, after sitting in the car for 13 hours in one day, my boys played for about an hour with their toys.  I was happy to see my little men so comfortable and excited about home.

We all spent this entire last week coughing, sneezing, dripping, aching and laying around the house trying to get better.  We played with lots of toys, watched lots of Thomas the Tank Engine, drank lots of juice, changed lots of diapers, dirtied lots of tissues, took lots of naps and sang lots of songs. Finally, on Saturday we ventured to the park and  the store and today we went to church.  It was nice to be with our friends and get back into the swing of things.  I was even excited to sit down and play some tunes on the piano in Primary.  It felt like home.

We have had some great adventures and have seen lots of family and friends in the last two months.  The time was full of craziness, excitement and wonderful memories--someday I may even fill any of our faithful blog followers in on all of the details (like why there were so many pictures with snow when we live in Texas).  That is for a future date, but until then, know that the stars at night are big and bright and the Bradbury bunch is glad to come back to Texas.

Your boys are so cute. I love it.
Their eyes are beautiful!
I just noticed that your music is for Texas too. That's a fun song.
It was nice to see pictures of your dad too.
Have a fun time readjusting to "home".
