Never Too Late ...

So I know that the trees are decorated and the cards are in the mail.  The shopping is almost done and the gifts are soon to be wrapped.  It is less than 10 days until Santa comes down the chimney and I am asking you to put down the eggnog and take a step back with me, just for a few minutes.

Although it has only been a few weeks since Thanksgiving, it seems like the holiday is now nothing but the past.  And yet I never got to post our pictures from our holiday and the wonderful visit we had with my mom and dad.

There is nothing wrong with a little trip to the past, right.  I read a book called The Learning Tree in the 9th grade and I still remember the main character's school class motto.  I don't remember any of the character's names or any of the details of the story, but I remember the motto:  "Look back only when there are things there to help you look ahead."

Well, these Thanksgiving pictures help me look ahead to more fun times with Meema and Buhpa in the future and allow me to smile and appreciate how much I love my growing boys.

It was a three day whirlwind visit which included watching for our cousins at the Macy's parade, eating yummy turkey with friends, watching my dad play Wii, going to the zoo, eating Texas Bbq, playing games, eating cupcakes from Magnolia's and cheesecake from Trader Joe's (glad they survived the plane ride), free babysitting, going on a date with my husband, hanging out, reading stories, climbing on airplanes, and taking a whole bunch of pictures.

Thanks for all of the fun, Meema and Buhpa. Can't wait to see you again soon.

Lots of love.

Your boys are starting to look different, especially Brigham! He is starting to look like a "Big Boy" as Dayton calls himself. Can't wait till Brigham and Dayton can get together and play some football or basketball! (Aaron says baseball is out of the question.) We miss you guys! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
Love, Becky
