It's been a while since we've put something on the blog. Not for lack of effort mind you; mostly lack of technical competence. I spent a week and a half trying vigorously to make a video of the boys running wild on Halloween through various Trunk or Treating parking lots. The video is done, and well done might I add. But for all our efforts Youtube has blatantly blocked all attempts at posting this bit for you to see. It's kind of frustrating but someday we'll figure it out and you'll get to see our little hotdog and Lala running around trying to get another hit of crack-cosugareine.
This morning something awesome happened. Callie crawled. He has been pretty much on schedule for sitting up, rolling, putting everything in his mouth and slobbering on himself but we've been waiting anxiously for him to start moving. This morning Michelle laid him down in the dining/play room in the middle of a mess of toys and he saw a little plastic fish that he just had to have. So while on his elbows he leaned forward as far as he could go. His left arm rolled underneath while his right stretched as far as it could (which for his fathers-son is quite a ways). It wasn't enough finally and he needed that fish in his mouth, so while in kind of a Downward dog Yoga position he kicked against the floor with his legs and simultaneously flung the left arm out from under his chest and onto the prize. It wasn't really much more than three inches but man that's where it all starts. Kind of like the rest of us we see something we want, we try everything we know how to do to get it and when all that doesn't work we try something completely new and open an entirely fresh world of possibilities to ourselves. We've thoroughly enjoyed watching him all morning try to tune his motion but an army crawl is an army crawl and our boy can do it now. He's so friggin awesome.
Brig has been learning a lot of new vocabulary. He just ran up to me and hung on my chair while shouting, "Daddy light! Light!" Michelle just pulled out the Christmas tree and is putting lights on it right now and Briggie didn't want my to miss the action. So I guess I'd better go. Sorry no pictures, we'll put some up soon of Gene and Connie's visit and who knows maybe I'll even figure this Youtube thing out. Maybe not.

Aren't kids just amazing? It's sad that as adults we sometimes get complacent and don't try new things and learn new things and even new ways of doing OLD things. I just love kids!!! :)
Brajeeboohrie,
It was awesome to talk to you. Sounds like all is well. Judging by the pics in the blog those 50 lbs don't mean a thing.
