Hi Brig,

I guess you haven't heard from me in a while, sorry. Daddy's been a little busy. I'll give you a frozen teething ring if you can guess where in the world you poppa is right now? Heck, you start your teething crying again and I'm pretty sure that your mother is going to hook you up with that thing anyway. I'm in Africa, the Horn of Africa to more specific and to be even more specific than that I am in a little country on the coast line called Djibouti. Not Djibooby, I know you are still really into that right now, I said and meant Djibouti. It's a neat place. I have been very fortunate to get to come here for the last few days. Likely I'll be in Iraq and Afghanistan for the next several long while. I am excited for that except that on the weather today it said that Baghdad was 113 degrees, and dusty. Don't pretend like you're surprised, neither is dad.

In fact yesterday I went for a run. It wasn't one of those moster runs that your mother takes you on but it wasn't too bad. And after about 25 minutes or so I had to stop and pour water on my shoes because they were begining to heat up so bad I couldn't stand it any more. I think they were begining to melt.

Some day we should get Grandma and all your aunts and uncles and cousins and go around the world to Kenya. It is a beautiful place and me and my crew had such a great time there.

Alright kid, I'll try and keep you posted on the good stuff. For now I'm just out of here. I love you and your mommy very much. Keep being the little man of the house. Peace out.

addie.

Dad,

Thanks for the note. Mom was saying something about living with the baboons or something. I guess they have internet. I love technology, but for me that means noisy toys that get stuck buttons and drive my mom crazy.

I roll anywhere and everywhere now and mom cannot keep track of me sometimes. And these days it is Dijbottle that I am down with.

We miss you lots and lots, dad. Be safe so you can come home soon.

love,

B. Golden

Michelle-
Kristi Lee (the other half of Jono Lee) here. I ran across your email with this blogspot address and was excited to read about your family. In all my excitement, I accidentally pushed, "FLAG BLOG". So if you get some message saying you have questionable material on your sight, blame it on me. Feel free to email anytime or call next time you're in Utah. Your boy is a cutie. Our prayers are with your hubby in Djibouti, Iraq, Afghanistan or wherever else he may travel in serving our country.
Take Care,
Kristi

Hey Brig...

I can't wait to see you next week! :)

Just thought you should also know your Dad is a PIMP! I hope he knows how much his OTHER family loves and misses him!

Oh and tell your Mom to call me [719-271-0457] so we can set up a time to get together. I've waited your whole life to meet you... and it's FINALLY going to happen! YAY!!

Well, I better get going...
I'll see you next week! :)

Adam, Michelle, and of course - Brigham,

it was GREAT to see you guys when you stopped in Del Rio to get your piano. We will never forget little floating Brigham in our window and wondering who in the world that baby was! Too funny - especially Marie running off to get a robe to cover her PJ's!! We have you guys in our prayers while Adam is deployed, hopefully the time will pass quickly for all of you so that you can be together again. Take care!!!
