Yah...but can you handle some of this?!!...

I’m pretty sure that most of you willing to check this website from time to time have already heard this story because I repeated it a million times. But it is so cool I want to tell it one more time and then I can just refer people back here from now on to save myself some wind.

Several weeks ago, when Michelle was around 5 months along, we were chillin at Aunt Stormy’s house in Victoria. It was just the three of us sitting in Storm’s living room chatting about whatever was of sumo-importance in the world that day, when Michelle asked me to come over and sit down beside her. I did and when I got there she placed my hand on her belly. I assumed that it was to feel the kid kick or something. I thought I felt the ‘or something’ but over the last two years I have come to know better than to believe that any old rumble in Michelle’s belly is a baby moving around.

Then after about twenty seconds or so of everyone holding their breath little dude rared back and laid a flying karate kick to the jaw that would have made Bruce Lee proud; it made his papa even more so. He kicked me so hard it was unmistakable, even in Michelle’s belly; I have to say that was awesome. My buddy Mike told me it didn’t really sink in that he was having a kid until he heard her heartbeat for the first time, then it all became real. This was that kind of moment for me. This is when I realized Skele was a living breathing jui-jitzu trash kickin’ machine swimming around in my wife’s belly and that was cool.

I can’t wait to teach him all of the sweet unarmed combat maneuvers I learned at the Academy like the arm coil, gouges, choke holds, the importance of Ki-aaa and which way joints don’t move. Once we teach this beast to master and focus his heretofore uncontrollable rage then he will be a force to be reckoned with. I give him 11 ½ more months, just so he can start walking and he’ll be bully-ing that Nancy boy cousin of his around. What’s his name...oh yah, Max; Max shmax, the challenge is on the table bud, start training now.
